Product Description
Intelligence and power, on many levels
Part of the Kodak i5800 Scanner Series, the i5800 Scanner delivers up to 210 ppm true performance (with all imaging features enabled), and
provides a height-adjustable pedestal, offering the ideal scanning position for every operator.
It’s a better, ergonomically correct answer for superior production scanning, featuring Kodak Dynamic Flow Technology, our breakthrough
digital architecture that delivers optimized memory allocation and processing paths. It’s a complete customizable solution aligned with end user business
goals – only from Kodak, the high-volume market leader.
— Benefit from intelligence and power on many levels —
Offers the ideal scanning position for every operator — through a height adjustable transport |
Significantly reduces document prep and handling times — with problem free feeding of diverse batches and controlled stacking |
Finds the fastest way to scan, perform imaging functions, extract data — via Kodak Dynamic Flow Technology Saves up to 53% on total cost of ownership — |
Improves accuracy with streak filtering — plus all the additional automated image enhancement features of Kodak’s Perfect Page technology |
Makes complex and repeat functions one-button easy — with programmable function keys |
Achieves greater data integrity for OCR, IDR, validation and other functions — through capture of every bit of information at 600 dpi |
* Total cost of ownership (TCO) for i5800 Scanner over five years is $137,145 compared to $209,600 (multiple units of certain products may be required to
match productivity of i5800 Scanner) for select competitive, non-Kodak scanners. TCO includes list price, service cost, consumables, and additional image
processing costs. Data on file.

**images per minute speed based on dual-stream output of four compressed images for each document scanner – bitonal and color or bitonal and grayscale. This
scanner contains non-volatile storage (NVRAM), and volatile memory (SDRAM).
Volatile memory (DDR2) is used to store customer image data. It is erased when the device is turned off.
Non-volatile memory (EEPROM) is used to store program data, scanner settings, and scanner calibration data. No customer image data is stored in
non-volatile memory.
The only scanner settings stored persistently are the Energy Star settings. No other customer data is stored in the non-volatile memory.
NOTE:
The image data is passed to a PC which has its own ability to store images and information. The customer will also need to consider what precautions must
be taken to secure the data on the PC.
